Raise your hand if you’ve ever found yourself di Raise your hand if you’ve ever found yourself diving straight into action mode, wasting hours of your life throwing half-hearted applications at random companies like spaghetti at a wall 🙋🏼‍♀️

There’s a reason why the spaghetti method doesn’t work: it is a pure numbers game and your success is based on luck. Plus, it will probably leave you burnt out and frustrated. 🍝

Instead of coming from a mindset of “hoping that something sticks”, do the work of identifying what you bring to the table, what’s shifted since becoming a mom, what you need from a career moving forward and develop a strategic mindset for your career transition. ✨

And if you need support along the way through expert guidance, a supportive community of moms in the same boat as well as access to tools and strategies that actually work - join my 12-week peer support group for professional moms at a career crossroads!

We start 27 Feb! DM me and I’ll send the details with a link to register your way 🚀

Embracing my soft mama era and letting go of the h Embracing my soft mama era and letting go of the hustle and bustle ❤️

If you don’t know this about me - I used to work 12 hour days in a Manhattan high rise and didn’t even think it was that horrible 🤷🏼‍♀️ I loved the lifestyle it afforded me and it was great for that season of my life.

Now, as a mom in my 30ies, I can’t think of anything less appealing than leaving my home to work in a drafty office, commuting for 3 hours a day and returning home just to have a quick microwave dinner and sleep.

I’ll take the simple, slow and cozy life over anything now! 🙌🏼

Share this with a friend who’s in their soft mom era ❤️

Apart from the fact that I’m not a fan of trashi Apart from the fact that I’m not a fan of trashing our spouses in public comment sections - the underlying notion of mothers as victims just really isn’t helping anybody 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you need more time for self care, you need to take action and start setting boundaries. ❎

A good approach for that can look something like this:

1️⃣ What does self care look like for me? Aka what energizes me/ let’s me relax / let’s me enjoy things I love?

2️⃣ What am I doing that’s currently working for me? What isn’t?

3️⃣ What healthy boundaries can I set so that I can make what isn’t working work for me?

Notice how none of that involves blaming anyone else for your circumstances or letting their behavior influence your feelings? 🤯

It’s all about ditching the victim mindset and focusing on what YOU can influence.

If you agree, drop a “🙌🏼” and tag an amazing, supportive spouse in the comments 💕⬇️

There shouldn't be anything extraordinary about wa There shouldn't be anything extraordinary about wanting to be a mother first and an employee second - especially in the early years of childrearing.

Most modern societies acknowledge that fact and offer ample paid parental leave to mothers and fathers. German parents can split up to 3 years of parental leave between them - and I don't see the German economy dying from that.

Allowing new mothers to focus on mothering first, instead of having them spend postpartum desperately looking for childcare, getting their newborn on a "schedule" and trying out 30 different types of bottles in the hopes their baby will eventually like one, is a human right.

I'm not sure when American policymakers and employers will finally see that it is in their interest to support families?

Until then, you can take responsibility for how you want to spend early motherhood and design your ideal working mom/ SAHM life with me.
